Tempus Fugit

Has the Summer really come and gone since I've updated the blog? Time sure flies these days.

I'm doing well. I have a simple head cold that moved into my chest overnight. Pfft, normal this time of year when I'm around so many children once more.

I reconnected with my High School sweetheart, Felicia, this week. Actually she found me. We've had a wonderful time talking and it's like the twenty-five year gap was as short as one day. Life is good.

I have a few photos that I never posted so here we go...

Once more March proves to be a fun and busy birthday month.

Not much going on this weekend. I went out yesterday for a while and took some pictures downtown. Unfortunately, I caught somebody's germs along the way. I woke up this morning with a chest and head filled with crud. I feel awful today.

Hoppy Easter!

Here's a photo of Jon from Tuesday's Track Meet at Kearney.

I hope you're having a very happy Easter. Jon and I certainly are.

Not much to do today. Jon and I are going out to lunch and then having a "big burger" dinner. Mmm, getting hungry already :)

I took Nick and Ellie out for their anniversary dinner last night. We went to Garozzo's Ristorante and had a wonderful time. Andrew Brooks should be here in the next couple of weeks although Ellie is worried about having her labor induced if he doesn't come by then. The doctor said he's already eight pounds and growing rapidly. There is some concern about whether she can handle a normal delivery above eight pounds. If she doesn't deliver soon they'll induce labor before he grows even larger.

It's a wonderful life

Charlene and Ronnie brought their new puppy over today. He's a boxer/something mix although they were on their way to the vet to get a better idea of what "something" is.

The weather is fairly warm again yet very windy. Certainly better than the snow forecasted for Sunday.

The house is clean and mostly packed. Jon and I have our bedrooms left to pack although Jon is more than half finished with his. No word on the duplex yet although the last I had heard we could move in after April 15th. I hope it goes no longer than that.

After the move I need to look for another car. Something that get better than the 10mpg I'm experiencing today. I'd like to take a few road trips this Summer to get out and see the world. I'd sure like to pay less than $33 for every hundred miles.

Jon has two track meets already under his belt for the 2008 season and is doing fairly well. I'll post a photo or two later.

Not much going on for the next couple of days. I'm experiencing some much-needed downtime.
